Overview
In this six-part video panel discussion, Prof Andrew Sharp meets with an expert panel to moderate discussion on the issues surrounding Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS) which is an abnormality of the automatic nervous system (dysautonomia) that results in abnormal heart rate increases upon standing or sitting.

Faculty Biographies
Nick Gall
Dr Gall is a Consultant Cardiologist with a specialist interest in heart rhythm disorders. His private practice is based in the Guthrie Clinic at King’s College Hospital, where he was appointed in 2004.
Dr Gall qualified in London, gained a Masters in Cardiology from Sussex University.
Andrew SP Sharp
Consultant Cardiologist
Prof Andrew Sharp is a Consultant Cardiologist at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, UK. Andrew qualified from Edinburgh Medical School in 1998. He was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in 2011 and Honorary Associate Professor by the University of Exeter in 2018 before moving to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff in the summer of 2019.
Andrew conducted his early training at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, before moving to London for his senior clinical training, completing the prestigious Milan-Imperial Interventional Cardiology Fellowship programme. Dr Sharp was awarded an MD postgraduate research degree from the University of Edinburgh for his work on the hypertensive heart and his current research interests include device-based treatments for hypertension, pulmonary embolism, intracoronary imaging and coronary physiology.

Melvin D Lobo
Professor Melvin Lobo is a Consultant Physician based in St Bartholomew’s Hospital and the William Harvey Research Institute. He has a specialist interest in blood pressure disorders of all types, autonomic control of the circulation and also resistant hypertension and device-based therapies.
Lesley Kavi
Lesley has been a GP for over 30 years. She obtained her medical degree at Glasgow University. She is currently practising near Birmingham, and has undertaken postgraguate education in Syncope, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Contraception.
