Atrial Arrhythmias

About

Atrial arrhythmias include atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, atrial tachycardia, sinus tachycardyia and supraventricular tachycardia. They can be difficult to diagnose because of the unpredictable, brief nature of arrhythmia events.

Management varies, depending on the underlying cause, risk factors and the level of symptoms, and includes pharmacotherapy, catheter ablation, cardioversion and pacemakers.
